About Me

I was born in Mohács in 1985 and began my studies in the sports program at Brodarics Elementary School. On March 15, 1995, I went rowing for the first time, an experience that immediately shaped my life: I went on to become a multiple Hungarian Champion and a member of the national rowing team. After graduating from Károly Kisfaludy High School (Mohács), I attended Pécs University to study Physical Education.

As a young adult, an autoimmune disease (ankylosing spondylitis) knocked me off my feet for a long period of time: I spent nearly a year at home and in hospitals. That period showed me the true value of mental health and human support. That’s where my commitment to psychology began.

In 2009, I graduated with a degree in Sports Communication. In 2012, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, where I wrote my thesis on Relaxation and Sports Psychology.

In 2014, I earned a professional rowing coach certification from Semmelweis University.

In 2018, I earned a master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pécs, where I researched the psychological factors that influence coaching effectiveness.

In 2022, I earned a degree in Sports Psychology through a joint program offered by Eötvös Loránd University and the Hungarian University of Sports Science.

From 2019 to 2023, I completed my doctoral research at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Pécs, focusing on a comprehensive study of the psychophysiological stress patterns in rowing and performance anxiety.

In 2024, I completed the International Coaching Education and Certification Program (ICECP) offered by the University of Delaware, the International Olympic Committee, and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee.

I currently work as an associate professor and head of department at Széchenyi István University, as well as a lecturer at the University of Pécs, while also working as a sports psychologist in several sports and with national teams.

I am married and the proud father of two sons.

Throughout my career, I have guided numerous athletes and coaches to the winner’s podium at the Olympics, World Championships, and European Championships, as well as to finals appearances, helping them with their mental preparation and enabling them to reach their full potential.

In my methods and approach, I incorporate the perspectives of an athlete, a coach, a psychologist, and a parent.
